Obi Wan Kenobi is Osama bin Laden

Revenge of the Sith's heavy political subtext led some fans to believe that Emperor Palpatine was based on George W. Bush. Hogwash! Everyone knows that Palpatine is actually Sen. Joel Liberman.

Oddly enough, no one brought up Star Wars' other dubious connection. Me being the master of lookalikes, I spotted this immediately and have been sitting on it for years, keeping it warm in my mother hen's nest of conspiracies. But it's time this chicken hatched. So, I submit this rant for the approval of the Midnight Soceity:

Both hid out in desert caves

1. Both have beards.
2. Both wear white/sand colored robes and cowls.
3. Both are leaders of a quasi-religious organization.
4. Both provoke illegal rebellions to bring down an "evil empire."
5. Both trained rebels to fly suicide missions deep in the heart of enemy territory.
6. Both had their base of operations taken by an army with superior firepower.
7. Both hid out in caves in the desert.
8. Both have funny "gibberish names."
